Southern Technology Promotion Organizations (red dots) — This map provides an overview of the many associations and partnership organizations that support innovation and entrepreneurship at the local, state and regional level throughout the American South. These groups play a number of critical roles, including recruiting world-renowned scientists to Southern states, providing start-up and operational funding for innovative entrepreneurs and facilitating technology transfer from universities to the private sector. The associations and partnership organizations identified on this map were compiled by staff from the Southern Growth Policies Board.
