Southern states have many commonalities — from history to culture to economics. Often, these similarities have resulted in a shared perspective and mutual agreement between Southern Governors. SGA’s Policy and Legislative Program
Each year, Southern Governors identify a number of policy and legislative issues on which they would like to work together at the Federal level. These issues are chosen through a consensus-based process and have a specific significance to Southern states.
Currently, SGA is conducting a number of briefings for Governors' staff that will inform our 2011 policy agenda. As these briefings are conducted, SGA will post documents, and in some cases video recordings, associated with each session.
