Gov. Beshear Unveils First-Ever Comprehensive Energy Plan
Proclaiming Kentucky’s place as a national leader, Gov. Steve Beshear was joined today by Energy and Environment Cabinet Sec. Len Peters as he unveiled the state’s first-ever comprehensive energy plan, which calls for significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions while creating some 40,000 jobs tied to energy production and conservation between now and 2025.

Gov. Perdue Announces Substantial Decrease in High School Dropouts; Graduation Rate Up
Governor Sonny Perdue spoke to the National Dropout Prevention Conference today and announced the state's graduation coaches helped decrease the number of dropouts in Georgia high schools by at least 2,200 students for the second year in a row.
