About SGA

Executive Director

Diane Duff is responsible for working with governors’ offices to develop consensus agendas and programs, securing necessary financial resources to support approved programs and projects and managing the day-to-day operations of the staff.  With 18 years’ experience in public policy advocacy, communications, consensus building and association management, Diane joined SGA after serving as the Committee Director of Economic Development and Commerce with the National Governors Association.

Prior to working with NGA, Diane spent five years as Executive Director of the Alliance for Rail Competition, where she worked with a variety of stakeholders to develop a consensus based legislative and communications agenda aimed at modifying federal rail policies. Earlier, Diane served as federal affairs director for the Greater Washington Board of Trade, senior account executive for the lobbying firm of Cassidy & Associates and account executive at the Washington, D.C., office of Hill and Knowlton Public Relations.

Diane holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Maryland.
