Charlotte Cole supports SGA through the development of communications and marketing strategies, tactics and messages, and works with the communications offices of SGA’s member governors to provide timely and topical information to the media about the organization’s initiatives and programs. In addition, she assists in the development and execution of special programs in the areas of economic development and education.
Throughout her career in both public and private sectors, Charlotte has developed and managed award-winning strategic marketing and communications programs for a variety of organizations. Early on, she served as the Media Relations Director for the Virginia Division of Tourism and later as a marketing consultant for Philip Morris USA.
Charlotte holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of South Carolina with a cognate in Business Administration and Marketing. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America.
