Greg Abbott became the 48th governor of Texas on January 20 at a ceremony in Austin. Prior to his election, Abbott served as the Lone Star State's Attorney General.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin recently announced that Diamond Electric, a major supplier of ignition coils to Ford Motor, Chrysler, Toyota and Subaru, is relocating its North American headquarters to West Virginia.

VA Gov. McAuliffe recently announced that Canon Virginia, Inc. will invest $100 million to expand its operations, adding printer cartridge production lines and increasing its toner manufacturing and filling service.
